With her, there are few rules. One pigtail? Makes sense to her. Off-balanced cuffed pants like daddy? Oh yeah. Purple and grey striped socks with rainbow striped slip-on sneakers? Why not. Kindie punk rock t-shirt? Of course.
This 7-year-old girl has style for miles, from our home outside of Philadelphia all the way to Palo Alto, California. The challenge, from a portrait photography standpoint, is to capture pieces of it, to make these kinds of photographs in those moments when she is not in motion.
Those moments are few and far between. But when they happen, magic happens too.
