In many ways, there is nothing uniquely special about this photo of my two daughters looking at, and laughter into, each others gaze.
This is a scene I could photograph countless times during each day in which the family calendar is an empty square of white, each day these two sisters have only a restful night’s sleep to disturb their open-ended play.
But I cherish this captured moment from last week because Bear is making one of her ridiculous faces for no other reason than to delight her kid sister. And the love, admiration and adoration that that kid sis returns is one of the most magnificent sights I’ve ever known.
Sisters, man. Sisters. The best.
