First and a Half Grader

The Bear is officially finished with 1st grade. But she insists that she isn’t a 2nd grader. Not until classes begin again on August 15th (yeah, less than 2 months for summer break).

I have dubbed her a First and a Half Grader. She’s happy with that.

In other news: as I type this she sits next to me, face buried in A Crazy Day with Cobras, about 40 pages away from polishing off the Magic Tree House book series she started in late March. That’s 45 books in about 2 1/2 months, folks. Impressive, me thinks. My middle brother hasn’t read 1/2 that many in his whole life. I’m not kidding.

Magic Tree House #46 is out in August and just announced, Magic Tree House #47 “Abe Lincoln At Last!” is due in December.
