I recently learned that two kindie bands have grabbed their sleeping bags, blankees, and stuffed animals, and are in the midst of naptime. That’s what we call a hiatus in this world, right?
- King Pajama, who’s out-of-nowhere 2009 jazzy debut “Something Sweet” made my Top 10 of that year, recently took on a new lead singer after the wonderful Nina Zeitlin departed and had several summertime gigs booked in NYC. Those outdoors shows have been canceled and the band is taking what, unfortunately, could end up more hibernation then hiatus.
- The Sippy Cups, who’s last release was also in ’09, are also taking a break. But not to worry Sippy-heads, top Cup Rudy Trubitt is working on solo kid’s material. The first song of such endeavors will be out next week and you’ll hear all about it on OWTK. Stay tuned.
