While I make the final preparations for the end of the world this weekend, I thought it’d be a good time to look back on the busy week of posts here on OWTK.
If you too have been rushing around trying to finish up your college degree or scrambling to see all those glamorous European cities you never got to visit, it’s likely that you missed some of the below. Lucky for you, I’ve compiled this post. See how much I love you?
- I waxed poetic about the loss of childhood innocence in a post that somehow also featured breakfast-throwing monkeys, worms-at-risk, Egyptian pyramids, and a quote from my favorite band.
- 15-year old wunderkind Jack Skuller released a brand new song this week and it’s available as a free download. If you dig the youthful charm of Justin Bieber or the early rock rhythm of junior ax-man Quinn Sullivan, you’ve gotta check out Skuller and this new tune produced by The Ramones producer Daniel Rey.
- We learned this week that kindie faves The Sippy Cups have layed down for a nap, but Sippy Rudy Trubitt isn’t tired yet. He released his 1st post-Sippy Cup single this week.
- We fell in love with a hilarious kid’s book this week. I reviewed it and highly recommend you check out the story of one Frederic Pipkin.
- A couple of toys got the OWTK treatment, including an innovative paint brush from Colorforms and a dry-erase board for budding fashionistas.
- A handful of great kid’s music videos were unveiled this week, here’s our favorite.
- We threw a superhero party for a fortunate collection of 1st graders, then spent the day at Sesame Place with a kindie superstar.
- Philly-area families are advised to check out what’s on stage at the Arden Theatre right now, a world premiere musical from a legendary fairy tale author.
Now you’re caught up, just in time for the end of time. It’s been swell, peeps. As always, thanks for reading OWTK.
