JR & the NR4NP took the Abby’s Paradise Theater stage at Sesame Place a total of 6 times over the course of this past weekend. OWTK was lucky enough to catch the first two sets on Sunday, the 2nd of which I’ve dubbed the OWTK set as it featured pretty much all of our favorite cuts including the rarely played “Sign My Cast” (which we also heard in West Chester earlier this year but this time we got Dave on plaintive trumpet which was gorgeous), “Trick or Treat”, “Stay at Home Dad”, “Cartwheels and Somersaults”,, “New Haircut”, and “Thought It Was A Monster” (sample this stunning 6-pack of tunes below). All in all, we were treated to an hour of music spanning Roberts entire kindie career and didn’t hear the same song twice. Awesomeness.
Be sure to head to Sesame Place this summer to catch Dan Zanes, Ralph’s World and The Dirty Sock Funtime Band. Specific dates and more info on those concerts and more right here.
And make sure your family gets a spot along the path of the new-for-2011 Sesame Place Neighborhood Street Party Parade. It’s a fantastic song and dance show that your little ones will go gaga for, assuming they’ve got any energy left in their tanks at the end of the day.
