No game since Skylanders for our Nintendo Wii and later, the WiiU, has made a big an impression on my girls as Go Vacation for the Nintendo Switch. My 11-year-old, the Mouse, a tween gamer is especially smitten with this Switch game of never ending vacation. In the market for gifts for tween girls? My tween gamer thinks they will love Go Vacation for Switch and has written about her favorite things in the game.
Here Are a Tween Gamer’s 11 Favorite Things About Go Vacation For Nintendo Switch
Roller Skating
It was night but the city was aglow from the ramps of the Track and Soul Skate Park. I raced down the Wheel Slider, preparing myself for an epic jump! As I flew into the air I could imagine doing this for real.
For someone who doesn’t like big cities, I’m surprised that Go Vacation’s City Resort is one of my favorites. Life is weird like that.
I landed with a thud but kept skating up a huge ramp; I gazed out at the half pipes and ramps I adored. I never wanted this night to end. And what’s awesome, it doesn’t have to end! I could play Go Vacation for hours and it would stay night forever if I wanted! And that way, I would never have to go to bed.
Horseback Riding
As the sun set I galloped across the wide open mountain terrain, with the wind in my hair, past the other riders, past the peafowls and big horned sheep. The scene was majestic. I raced past the waterfalls flowing green and the flowery mountains. I saw the Shanghar Castle in the distance and started to trot towards it. When I arrived at the castle it was more beautiful than ever with the sun setting. I felt like a queen as I gazed out at the mountain scenery. I came out of the shadow of the castle and let the sun soak me in it’s happiness. I promised myself that I would never forget this day.
Surfing
Excitement grew in my chest as I rode my marine bike across the beach with Pamela my dog at my side. I parked at the dock and hopped on the ferry to Concord Island. When I arrived I turned to see the biggest wave ever and wanted to shout; I was so anxious to get on the water!
I paddled out to meet the wave, eventually standing up as smaller waves crashed against my board. The massive wave was so close I could almost touch it. As I was lifted into the wave, I caught a glimpse of a dolphins jumping in the water. I knew this day would be one of the best!
Snow Tubing
Wild Boar Rush, that’s what the sign said. That’s where I chose to begin my snowtubing journey. I raced down the mountain and onto the slope. I flew into the air and I saw the town come into view. I got closer and closer until I was in the town. The snow glistened in the sun and snowflakes fell from the blue sky as I slid slowly towards the chairlift. Once there I hopped out, and joined my friends on the chairlift to Tiger Fang Slope. I was so excited to do it all again! It was just the thrill of flying! Everything else fell away, leaving only me and mountain. Once we arrived I got onto my tube and headed down the mountain again. This time I spun around in crazy circles — thankfully I didn’t get dizzy — and kept going until I was in the town. But that wasn’t the end; again and again I went down the mountain on my snow tube.
Snowball fighting is really awesome! Snowball fighting, along with other games, let you enjoy time with you friends you make on your journeys around the Island.
Kayaking allows you to do things you probably would not want to do in real life, crazy things like kayaking down a waterfall!
Watching the sunset is definitely my favorite. The sunsets on Go Vacation are simply beautiful, as most things in nature are! But watching them with my sister and some dolphins has been a blast.
I love taking pictures in real life so you can imagine what I spent a lot of my time doing on the Island!
Animals are hard to photograph but when you get a good photo they’re amazing!
I also enjoy clothes shopping so I was super excited to earn more outfits to try on. I must’ve tried on every outfit available!
Having the dogs with you in Go Vacation is so cool because they follow you around and swim or run next to you when you’re having fun with them on the beach.
Rafting is so amazing and realistic just like everything else in Go Vacation! You can raft with buddies you make or not, either way you will have a blast at Kawawii Island!
Can you imagine yourself doing these activities in Go Vacation on Switch or IRL???
