The teaser video is 75 seconds of a rotating glass slipper (below) but it should be enough to perk up the ears of your little princesses. Disney will put their live action Cinderella to work in March 2015 with a stellar cast including Cate Blanchett (stepmother) and Helena Bonham-Carter (beggar / fairy godmother). Excited yet? Unlike The Arden Theatre’s stunning re-imagination staged in Philadelphia in late 2012 and Christopher Healy’s heroic take on (Cinder) Ella, the arc of this new Disney film reads fairly hand-in-hand with the traditionally told story, but no doubt it will look wonderful and have wide-eyed girls lined up at multiplexes in their baby blue dresses and awkward plastic slippers.
