Cooking for a Vegetarian Child

We’re deep into our forth month of raising a vegetarian. She and we are as committed as ever to her decision and her passion regarding it grows stronger by the day. Over time, my cooking has gotten more interesting and her already impressive palette, for a 9-year-old or a 39-year-old, is expanding still. This isn’t a phase, as many condescending adults would believe. This is who the Bear is right now. Over on the Mars Healthy Living website, I share an update on some of the snacks and meals I’ve been whipping up for my oldest girl, my proud vegetarian, and as a result, for my youngest too. That’s right, the more finicky eater of the two, the Mouse, is letting things like chick peas and edamame pass through her lips. The Bear has once again made our lives better. She’s got a way of doing that, you know.

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
