The first Saturday in May is fast approaching, which can only mean one thing:
Free Comic Book Day!
Find your local participating comic shop and make plans to attend Free Comic Book Day on May 4th to score cool free stuff from all the major comic publishers, including DC who will distribute SUPERMAN: LAST SON OF KRYPTON #1 ahead of the summer blockbuster MAN OF STEEL movie, as well as DC NATION SUPER SAMPLER #1. That one will give young comic fans a sneak peak at two new series: BEWARE THE BATMAN and TEEN TITANS GO! (a new animated series coming soon to Cartoon Network’s Saturday morning DC Nation programming block.)
Spongebob fans will want to pick up a copy of the new Spongebob Freestyle Funnies comic series. But that is just the tip of the iceberg. There are free comics featuring The Hulk, Action Time, Scratch 9, Mr. Puzzle, The Tick, and more! Find all the comics available on Free Comic Book Day here.

And we now know that Skylanders are teaming up with McDonald’s for Skylanders Happy Meals, from tomorrow through May 2nd, but will we someday see Skylanders comics? Hope so!
