With a modicum of words, and with just under 20 minutes worth of breaths, this film, which sits comfortably inside the center of a European football fanatic, Fatherhood, Nostalgia Venn diagram, hits like a God’s-honest literal gut punch from a long lost pal in an alleyway beneath the sun in the broad light of an otherwise glorious midsummer day.
