After a brilliant 5-month run in the Mediterranean, carrying thousands of guests from Barcelona to Athens, and back again, along with stops at multiple thrilling European ports in between, the Carnival Vista sailed into American waters on November 4th 2016.
To celebrate the Vista’s arrival to Manhattan pier in NYC, a grand Carrie Underwood concert was staged, a dramatic official naming ceremony with the ship’s godmother, Miss USA Deshauna Barber was planned, and hundreds of military families were invited on board in conjunction with Operation Homefront. All of this fanfare beneath clear blue skies on a gorgeous Autumn day in New York City was the culmination of a yearlong effort between Carnival, Carrie Underwood and Operation Homefront.
It was a thrill to be back on board the Vista and especially to be able to share this incredible ship with my mom. Here she is with her granddaughters!
And here is the stylish Kathy Lee with my even more stylish mom!
The majestic Carnival Vista will sail out of Miami to Caribbean ports starting later this month. Take a look at the available Vista cruises for the remainder of this year and into 2017.
Now take a look at what it looked like on the Carnival Vista during the welcome party in NYC earlier this month.
