Now that my oldest child is 11 years old and has her own phone, my wife and I have gleefully reached the point as a married couple where we can leave her in charge while we go just around the corner for a bite to eat. Date nights are back, baby, and no longer require the pricy, long turnpike drives to Mom mom and Pop pop’s house, or the costly hourly rates of local babysitters.
While we are currently experiencing the kind of upward mobility on par with that of an 11-month-old child who is suddenly cruising around the living room on the padded safety-foam rims of coffee tables and stitched edges of ottomans, date nights still have the frustrating tendency of being expensive propositions. I mean, who has an extra $50-$75 for a nice dinner, multiple times each month? Not us.
Enter Ristorante by Dr. Oetker, a gourmet restaurant-quality pizza with at-home convenience…especially for a married couple craving some quick tasty chow for a 9pm date night with kids tucked away in dreamland and a DVR full of Brooklyn Nine-Nine episodes to catch-up on.
In just 13 minutes time, we’re plopped onto the sofa, side by side, with the flicker of battery-operated candles (safety first, kids) elegantly framing the TV screen, ready to entertain us as we cuddle up together, sharing a perfectly portioned, incredibly delicious, crispy thin crust Ristorante Pizza. Ristorante is available in eight uniquely flavored varieties like Mozzarella, Pepperoni Pesto, and Vegetale. We kept our date night a little cheesy and chose the Quattro Formaggi!
Date nights have never been this easy or tasted this great.
And with Mother’s Day just around the corner, I think the kids and I will bypass the over-priced and over-crowded brunch scene, and instead serve mom a Ristorante Pizza Funghi, topped with oodles of those aromatic mushrooms she loves so much, along with some of her favorite kettle cooked potato chips and a frothy craft root beer as her special lunch. And then we’ll give mom some well-deserved me time to unwind from her hectic 9-5.
Speaking of ‘me time,’ encourage the special woman in your life to make a hilarious Me Time meme as part of Ristorante’s “Love Yourself Amore” sweepstakes. She could win some sweet prizes too, like grocery delivery, house-cleaning, landscaping, or chef-prepared meals, to help ensure she finds even more Me Time.
Consult the Ristorante Store Locator to find where you can pick up a delicious Mother’s Day meal or dinner for your next in-house, late night date night. If your loal supermarket does not currently sell Ristorante, you can put in a request with the store manager! And like Dr. Oetker on Facebook to stay in the loop on all pizza related news.
