Big Bang Boom “Hippie Mom” from Because I Said So!
I am warming to this band, especially after having seen them live in Philly earlier this year. Something to look out for whilst watching Big Bang Boom’s new video: a certain “hippie mom” with a mustache is none other than Avett Brothers cellist Joseph Kwon. Mmm, I love me some Avett Brothers.
Mister G “Chocolalala” from Chocolalala
If you ever come to doubt the power of a single man with a single acoustic guitar, just plop Mister G in front of your crowd. Any crowd — kids, adults, other musicians, senior citizens, flock of seagulls, school of fish, who or what ever. Ben Gundersheimer (that’s Mister G in case I lost ya there) is a one-man whirlwind of musical happiness. Listen to “Chocolalala” on the May 2013 episode of the OWTK Podcast.
Dino O’Dell “Dragonfly” from Outer Space
This soothing video is like a pre-K math iPad app with music. Not quite The Terrible Twos “Math Stomp” but with a simple approach to explaining basic addition and subtraction both lyrically and musically, I could see this being a big hit during summertime preschool and Pre-K prep.
