The first sound we hear from “Love, Cake & Monsters”, the forthcoming and highly anticipated new release from PKRS, is the seasonally appropriate and pointedly-titled tune “Halloween”. The dramatic, not-at-all-spooky holiday number features a 53-piece Macedonian orchestra which sounds terrific.
But I’m less impressed with the song frankly – which is more theatrically told then sung – than I am the cartoon video which is pretty great; because anything involving ballet dancing skeletons is gonna be alright in my book.
