I spend the entirety of my first post for the NYC blogging giant Mommy Poppins encouraging city families to brave the July heat for the opportunity to see & hear the awe-inspiring Shine and the Moonbeams in concert this week. You’ve got three chances, across three boroughs. All three shows are free. No excuses, kids.
In a few months, you’ll have to pay to see this brilliant new kid’s band at Symphony Space. In a few years, you’ll probably see the soulful quartet on Ellen. What I’m trying to say is, grab a blanket and spend some quality time with Shawana Kemp and band.
