The 2010 Celebrate Brooklyn concert series has seen some impressive & diverse acts; Norah Jones, Allen Toussaint, Passion Pit, The Roots w/ Talib Kweli, Rufus Wainwright, The National, Sonic Youth, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, to name just some.
The series concludes this weekend, with the season’s only family concert. The double bill of Brady Rymer and Elizabeth Mitchell is really fantastic…and free! Still looking for something to do this Sunday, August 8th? Join us at the Prospect Park Bandshell at 4pm (gates at 3pm) for a stellar kindie rock show.
We already had plans to be in the city for John Tartaglia’s IMAGINOCEAN, a black light puppet musical from an Avenue Q alum, so a subway trip to Brooklyn afterward is a breeze.
This weekend, we are also going to finally get to Governor’s Island, walk the Brooklyn Bridge and had designs on kiddie haircuts at Carousel Cuts, but we’ll skip that for Brady and Liz.
