A nearly last minute, quick heads-up for NYC-area readers:
This Sunday at The Bowery Poetry Club there’s another special musical fundraising effort, this time specifically for the children of Haiti. It’s called Kids Helping Kids. A $5 (minimum) donation goes straight to an orphanage in the island country. You may also bring a small toy for a child in Haiti.
The lineup for this event is pretty sweet – so get your philanthropic, music-loving ass over to the Bowery Poetry Club from 1:30-4pm on the 31th. Bring your extended family.
Don’t worry about the Super Bowl, that’s next week. It’s just the Pro Bowl this Sunday, which is terrible.
Kids Helping Kids Fundraiser Lineup
- Hayes Greenfield’s Jazz-A-Ma-Tazz
- Uncle Rock
- Marc Bazerman (of Baze and His Silly Friends)
- Irish Dancing
- Jazz Choir
- Storytellers
Get all the details here. And don’t forget about the kid’s music benefit show a day earlier at the Rodeo Bar & Grill – with an equally strong lineup.
*The CD pictured in this post will be available for purchase at the show.
