It was a spectacular year for all-ages/family/kid’s music (call it what you will). I continue to say, and stand by the statement, that we are in the midst of the Golden Age of Family Music (yes, it deserves the caps). Naturally, paring down to 10 albums wasn’t the easiest thing I’ve ever done. New CDs from TMBG, Johnny Bregar, The Not-Its, Billy Jonas, Robert Bobbert, The Jimmies (Live), Cathy & Marcy, Daddy A Go-Go, Mr. Leebot, The Sippy Cups, Eric Herman…the list goes on and on…made this tough.
So many good albums have already been (or are about to) be released this month, counting towards 2010, meaning that next year is probably going to be as amazing in this crazy kiddie rock world.
