I still remember the first time I saw the teaser trailer for Frozen. It was just Olaf and Sven. No Anna. No Elsa. No Let It Go. No idea what it was about. But there was a spark of genius, and I don’t just say that because of any hindsight 20/20 business.
Enter the 2014/2015 version of THAT. Disney Pixar’s next hit animated movie won’t be released until June 19th of next year, but the ‘behind-the-curtain’ vibe of Wreck-It-Ralph and the ‘corporate life of the mysterious parts of life’ a la Monsters Inc. is incredibly promising. Instead of squirming through the guts of arcade games at the mall or opening the closets door of our nightmares, Inside Out digs deep inside us all, right to the core of our personalities. Where does fear, anger, and joy originate? The answers, it would seem, are forthcoming. Can you wait until next summer, when the school year which seems to have just started is over and the birds and bees and geese and fireflies return?
Inside Out will be voiced by the hilarious team of Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling and Phyllis Smith.
