Recess Monkey’s 1st video from their forthcoming album “Flying” features a fishbowl, a cummerbund, falling paper hearts, and a 10-piece orchestra (sort of). The song itself brings Johnny Bregar and Dean Jones into the fold on piano and trombone respectively, with winning results.
Not that I was expecting more funky funk, but “My Valentine” represents quite a departure. It’s a little bit loungey and slightly jazzy with a dash of Hawaiian. And, well, it’s outstanding.
