Required Reading: All Things For A Reason

Parenting Blog Humor, Required Reading — By on November 30, 2011 at 12:46 pm

“Fail Upwards” by Dave Trott is a super quick read that pretty much sums up my entire philosophy on living a life without regret, with an understanding that the path to true love, success, happiness (whatever makes getting out of bed every day worthwhile, for you specifically) is sometimes (usually) traversed on a gravely road (note: the song “True Love Travels On A Gravel Road” is appropriate here – Afghan Whigs version would be best).  Also apropos, my favorite quote, by Frederick Douglas: “Without struggle there can be no progress”.

This is about fate and about all things happening for a reason even if the hand your dealt seems terribly rotten in the present tense.  This is something I touched on before, in this post.
