I loved talking with Dan Elliott of Pointed Man Band, but if I had planned it perfectly, I’d have started the OWTK Kindie Conversation Series with this guy right here, the guy behind Gustafer Yellowgold.
Morgan Taylor, creator, the songwriter, illustrator of Gustafer Yellowgold was my family’s entry into the world of all-age alternative indie kid’s music over a decade ago. Morgan, through his Gustafer Yellowgold songs and videos and boneless action figures, has meant and continues to mean a great deal to us. He has made our home more fun, more unique, and helped to make the lives of my daughters more colorful and so beautifully weird.
It was a pleasure to speak with him for almost an hour at the end of July, and to weave in clips of his new album Brighter Side into our chat.
