“Caroline” has long been one of my favorite Brandi Carlile tunes, even before I knew that it was a love song to a niece that Brandi was missing while out on the road bringing her roots-rock music to the people. And even before I knew that male voice and piano accompanying her gruff, soulful voice was Elton John! It remains one of the highlights from Brandi Carlile’s 2009 album Giving Up The Ghost.
The singer-songwriter is now set to release the children’s book version of “Caroline” and is taking pre-orders for both regular and autographed copies, with proceeds benefiting Carlile’s Looking Out Foundation. The books are expected to ship the week of September 1st.
