One of the beautiful benefits of elongating childhood is having a 9.5 year old daughter who still swoons over TV programs like Tickety Toc, with its adorable wooden & elastic fabric characters acting like sweet playthings found in premium toy shops.
This is exactly why I have agreed to become a VIP Blog Ambassador for Tickety Toc. It might seem odd, that, seeing as how I’m the parent of kids technically out of the preschool target age range for the show, but my girls, while growing up quickly as those little buggers are wont to do, are undeniably still tethered to their blissfully innocent childhoods. As a dad, I consciously give them as much space and time there as possible, and for as long as they wish to remain immersed in the glorious riches of their one and only chance at childhood pure & simple. This may be the greatest decision we’ve ever made as parents: to slow childhood down and let our kids be just that: kids.
Here are our two favorite Tickety Toc characters thus far, Lopsiloo (above) and Hopparoo (below).
You’ll be reading more about Tickety Toc on OWTK going forward, but for now, please do check out the terrific website, play games, and watch clips from the show. I think you’ll agree that it’s pretty darn adorable through and through.
