The annual kid’s music awards were announced yesterday on Bill Childs’ weekly Spare the Rock Spoil the Child radio program. Not familiar with the Fids & Kamily Awards? Think of them as the Grammys, with clued-in voters.

2. Dan Zanes and Friends – Little Nut Tree
3. Frances England – Mind of My Own

Solid batch of albums here but there is one gigantic, glaring omission from this list. I’ll let you guess who and what it is until I unveil my own personal top 15 CDs, songs, album art and more later in the week.
OWTK has covered, in some way or another, all of these fine discs having reviewed in detail the entire top 10 and at least mentioned 85% of the honorably mentioned albums. Check the links below or use the handy OWTK search bar up there to discover in more depth this top-shelf, modern kid’s music for youself and your family. Kidz Bop is more than unnecessary in the 21st century and this annual list once again proves it. Dig in, peeps.
