My first thought: This couldn’t have come at a better time.
With the Mrs. having just last month discovered a Twilight Zone-esque stain covering as much of her favorite khakis as water dominates the planet Earth, I embraced the idea of receiving a batch of OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover like that pesky bunny to our veggie garden.
She tried aggressively treating with straight laundry detergent. Nope. She already tried my mom’s method of using of Dawn dish soap. Nada. It’s like Clifford the Big Red Dog peed directly on the slacks while they hung innocently in the closet. Tears have been shed over this bizarro Big Yellow Stain.
Could OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover do what other cleaning products could not?
Okay, so I wrote all that early last week. The answer was to be a glowing positive one with before and after photos of the slacks in question. But there’s a problem on the path to pantopia: the stain didn’t go away.
The good news is QxiClean’s Versatile Stain Remover DID get out an oil stain from my Philadelphia Union soccer shirt, the discoloring from my old KC Chiefs football jersey, and some chocolate milkshake droppings that looked to ruin my favorite lavender Lands End polo shirt (see below). All of those were difficult and were handled with ease by OxiClean. (Note: the polo required two applications of OxiClean to come 98% clean). The wifey’s favorite pants were too far gone for modern medical treatment and had to be put down. A moment of silence of please.
Fall is here and with it comes the mud, the wet leaves, the soggy grass, tons the kiddie slips, and lots of icky stains. OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover deserves to be a relied upon piece of your laundry arsenal in battling the messiest of seasonal stains. You can soak Johnny’s football uniform to get out the physical remnants of that tough loss (note: product can not help with the emotional scares) and/or add OxiClean to your regular laundry loads to make whites whiter and colors more, well, colorful.
OxiClean isn’t just for laundry though. When the bowl of spaghetti and meatballs lands on the carpet or the tile floor with a thud, and when the juice from the plum goes from fingers to sofa cushion, OxiClean should be the first thing you reach for to get out those potentially nasty stains.
Now if you don’t mind, I’ve gotta get back to the laundry room. The girls were out playing in the backyard last night in ballet clothes after the daily downpour and once again I’m turning to my new pal Oxi for help.
Find out more about and the ways it can keep your family and home spotless.
