Who Is Simon Miller?, airing on NBC this Saturday August 6th at 8pm ET/7pm CT, is billed as a family movie. And it is. Just not for my young family.
My girls, ages 7 and 4, cowered in fear during the animated Puss in Boots movie trailer before a viewing of Winnie the Pooh last week. The high-tension action of Who Is Simon Miller? is gonna have to wait until they are older. Say, mid-30’s.
I, however, did partake in a screening of the family-focused, made for TV action flick and came away very satisfied. And I’m not even one for the James Bond/Tom Clancy type of thrillers! That’s more my Dad’s thing, and that of my oldest brother. So the question is: will I recommend Who Is Simon Miller? to them? Absolutely!
Being a man of absolutely-no-mystery, it was super cool to watch and learn about the shadows that surround the father of two, Mr. Simon Miller and to watch a family bond together to find him and along the way find out just who he is. At the core of the story is a loving, hard-working wife and two intelligent teen children who bicker with each other but ultimately discover that when you need someone most – to rely on, to believe in you, to ‘have your back’ – there is no one you can trust more than your immediate family.
Set in Paris, Prague, Geneva and the Boston-area Who Is Simon Miller? is a globetrotting family adventure perfectly suited for anyone who loves the work of Clancy, Brad Thor or Vince Flynn…or 007 himself.
Who Is Simon Miller? airs on NBC on Saturday, August 6 2011 at 8pm ET/7pm CT.
