Holy Hot Heat Alert Philadelphia Families: Stay Cool Tonight with Alex and the Kaleidoscope Band

It’s 95 damn degrees in Philadelphia today.  Un-air conditioned schools are closing early.  It’s nasty out there.

Fortunately, there’s an affordable way for your family to beat the heat tonight indoors at the very air conditioned Plays & Players Theater on lovely tree-lined Delancey Street.  Philly’s own Alex and the Kaleidoscope Band is performing at 7pm this evening with a big, bold, and fun 6-piece band. Did I mentioned it’s cool inside the theater?

The group just finished up a thrilling afternoon set for 200 lucky 1st and 2nd graders from a local charter school…and the Mouse and I.  The entire theater was moving, shaking and singing along.  If you’ve got a 4, 5 or 6-year-old child in your house and want to head out tonight for something unique and entertaining, this show is for you.  Alex and the band will be the only ones sweating – I promise!

Your Pre-K thru 1st grader is going to love Alex and his pair of energetic backup singers and dancers who flank him during the hour long show.

Order tickets in advance (and quickly!) to save $4 per ticket using code: kscope

It’ll end up being cheaper and way more interactive than some crappy movie.

*If you’re driving, here’s the scoop on cheap parking from the theater’s website:
E-Z Park parking lots is offering a special 50% off discount to Plays & Players members and patrons at their lot located on 15th Street between Lombard and South Streets.

*OWTK received free admission to the show this afternoon.  The opinions above are honest and unbiased.
