Clearly situated in the Dan Zanes, Liz Mitchell and Rani Arbo/Daisy Mayhem wing of the modern kid’s music scene, Heidi Swedberg delivered a light & delightful debut CD in 2010. Centered around, maybe even a love song to, the lovely ukulele, “Play” features a bevy of family standards not quite updated, but rather spiffied up a bit for today’s youth.
“Muffin Man” is our favorite of the lot. Conversational, cozy and cool, Swedberg’s giggly take on this adorable classic will have your kiddos whistling and laughing while they daydream of strolling down Drury Lane for a fresh baked Chocolate Chip or Blueberry treat.
*Fun Fact for Seinfeld fans: Heidi Swedberg, also an actor, played George Costanza’s fiancee Susan Ross. You may also have seen her in episodes of Bones, Wizards of Waverly Place, ER and numerous other television shows over the past decade.
