Yesterday in Western Massachusetts, Dan Zanes lent his guitar and distinctive voice to my favorite track from Elizabeth Mitchell’s forthcoming “Sunny Day”. While he’s no Levon Helm (who performs on the album version), he’s certainly no slouch!
This live video of “Keep On The Sunnyside” is one of many outstanding videos coming out of the stupendous Many Hands Benefit Concert held yesterday in Florence, MA. Be sure to visit Bill Child’s Spare the Rock You Tube page for the rest of the bunch (incl. 23 Skidoo, Rani Arbo & Daisy Mayhem, & Dan Zanes himself).
If you’ve yet to purchase the Many Hands CD (or even if you have), head over to Zooglobble.com right now. Stefan is running a nice promotion himself, which’ll net ya an extra kindie CD gem when you buy the awesome Family Music for Haiti benefit compilation.
Enjoy “Keep On The Sunnyside” (don’t mind that baby crying in the beginning of the clip – that DOES NOT continue once Daniel Littleton starts to strum the proper chords):
