The annual Kansas City Jiggle Jam is fast approaching. In fact, it’s next weekend!
My gang drove all the way from Philly to BBQ-land last year for Jiggle Jam and had one of the best musical weekends of our lives. I’m still amazed at how well-run, well-organized and on-time the event was – from start to finish. That there is great family music at such ridiculously affordable prices, well, that’s just the bees knees.
We stayed at the Westin Crown Center and loved it – easy access to Crown Center (the site of the festival), quirky & cool non-chain restaurants & shops, and an enclosed elevated walkway to gorgeous Union Station and some fabulous BBQ. You can book a room plus 2 tickets at the Jiggle Jam special price of $99!
*Tip: it’s much, much cheaper to park at Crown Center and make the short walk to the hotel than to park at the hotel itself.
The 2010 Jiggle Jam lineup isn’t as jaw-dropping as last year’s (there was zero chance of duplicating or topping the ’09 list of performers), but it’s still quite strong with kindie faves The Jimmies, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo, Sugar Free Allstars, and Ralph’s World…not to mention K.C.’s own Jim “Mr. Stinky Feet” Cosgrove!
If you have little kids and can get to the great mid-western town of Kansas City, MO for Memorial Day weekend, you’ve really gotta make Jiggle Jam a part of your family’s annual traditions.
