Billy Kelly, in my backyard (June 2009)
The 2nd official video from “Thank You For Joining The Happy Club” has hit the internets. The Frank Fusco directed clip for “I Can’t Get Away From Myself” gives a literal, visual interpretation of Kelly’s song about sometimes wanting to climb out of your skin and escape yourself…but, of course, never succeeding. Sounds heavy for a kid’s song, I know, and well, it kinda is but it’s also hilarious to look at.

I think I speak for the entire kindie rock world when I say that I sincerely hope we see Billy Kelly dolls popping up on toy store shelves someday. If that occurs, it’ll mean the world is a sillier, sunnier place.
