While the Bear and I danced to Santigold in concert in Philly (and stayed out way too late on a school night), the Mouse and mom climbed into bed beneath a few blankets on a surprisingly chilly May 1st and flicked on Roku TV in hopes of discovering new family movies on Netflix.
Having already rediscovered Pinky & the Brain and the rest of the Animaniacs on Netflix earlier this spring, the pair of snuggle bunnies stumbled upon Water Horse: Legend of the Deep, a 2007 movie about a young boy and a strange egg found near Loch Ness, starring the always delightful Emily Watson.
The report I received upon returning home and after tucking the Bear into bed was that Mouse and mom both loved the movie and the story at its heart. This news once again made me happy to have Netflix available on our devices and the Roku Smart TV, for my family to not only watch and rewatch (and rewatch and rewatch and rewatch) favorites like Magic School Bus, Super 4, and Mr. Peabody and Sherman, but to discover new family movies on Netflix that’ll we’ll rewatch again and again and again and again…
