Laurie Berkner Announces Christmas Album

On mischief day 2012, Laurie Berkner will release A Laurie Berkner Christmas.  This 15-song yuletide collection includes classics (“Jingle Bells”, Rudolph, Frosty, “White Christmas”), as well as a trio of originals (“Santa’s Coming To My House Tonight,” “Candy Cane Jane” and “Christmas Lights.”) and will feature kindie guest stars Brady Rymer and Elizabeth Mitchell.

“Candy Cane Jane“, a track off Berkner’s 2008 album Rocketship Run, had just received the video treatment last holiday season.

There’s also a Berkner original custom built for Hanukkah that didn’t fit the Christmas album motif.  Instead, “Candle Chase” will be available exclusively as a digital download, also on October 30th. That 15:1 Christmas to Hanukkah song breakdown sounds about right to be in line with the gift distribution disparity for the two end-of-year holidays.
