Catching up with The Not-Its!

Behind the ambitious New Year’s resolution of “Make Kids Dance”, Seattle kindie rock quintet The Not-Its! are hard at work on their sophomore album, the follow up to 2009′s terrific “We Are The Not-Its!”
No album title yet, but the band is sharing some early song titles. “Skinny Ties are Phat”, regrettably, isn’t one of them. These are subject to change, of course:
- Cheetah the Buffalo
- Timeout to Rock
- Welcome to Our School
- The First Kid in Outer Space
- Green Light, Go!
Expect the as-yet-unnamed disc to be available in late-May.
The group has a couple of Seattle-area gigs upcoming, including Saturday 2/13 (which is competing with Recess Monkey’s live recording session concert) but if the two venues are anywhere near each other, the idea of hitting the 1pm Not-Its! show after Recess Monkey wraps at 12:30pm seems pretty alright to me.
In other news, check out the rad Not-Its! FUN page, complete with karaoke versions of all their songs (with printable lyrics) and 10 coloring sheets featuring members of the band and images from the songs. Very sweet stuff.

I’m having a little bit of trouble viewing your site in Internet Explorer, but it may just be my computer. Apart from that, I love your site. I plan on browsing around and reading some more posts!
